Irene van As has joined Hague Corporate Affairs in Amsterdam as their new Account Director. Van As (38) will assist her clients on their reputation and corporate communication issues in the Netherlands and abroad. With the appointment of Van As, Hague Corporate Affairs, a Pan-European corporate affairs consultancy, will not only strengthen the communication capabilities of its office in the Amsterdam Zuidas but also reinforces the communication and reputation management proposition of its offices in the Hague, Brussels, and Paris.

Van As started her career as a marketing communication manager, servicing both the corporate and client sides. In 2017 she made the switch to reputation management, corporate communication and PR as a senior communication advisor and an online media specialist at IVRM Reputatie. As a reputation specialist, she helped organisations build a strong reputation with a distinctive, socially relevant positioning and profiling.

Building influence, driving change

Irene van As: “Many organizations equate reputation management with crisis communication, on a very limited range of issues, whereas a proactive reputation strategy actually helps to build and strengthen the reputation of an organisation in the long term, enabling it to achieve a preferred position among stakeholders. I look forward to supporting organisations in this and, together with my colleagues, give substance to Hague’s mission ‘Building influence, driving change’. Especially now, in a world in transition”.

Sense of social developments

Peter ter Horst, Managing Partner at Hague: “We are pleased to welcome Irene to our team. She has a strong sense of social developments, which is a good starting point for supporting our clients with a distinctive and socially relevant positioning and an agile communication strategy. With the arrival of Irene, Hague can meet the increased demand for support from organisations with reputation challenges”.
