Menno Snel full-time Partner at Hague Corporate Affairs

As of February 1st, Menno Snel joins Hague Corporate Affairs as a full-time partner. Snel will advise both national and international clients of Hague on the major transitions of our time with a particular focus on energy, sustainability, technology and finance.

Menno Snel has had a long and impressive career. He studied general economics in Groningen and, at the age of 33^, became deputy Director-General of fiscal affairs at the Ministry of Finance. He then worked for the pension fund ABP and was an executive director at the International Monetary Fund in Washington for five years. After a period as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Waterschapsbank, a public financial institution, he became State Secretary for Finance in the Rutte III cabinet. More recently, he was chairman of Element NL, the association for Dutch energy producers as well as chairman of the Supervisory Board at shipbuilder Royal IHC. He will step down from these positions.

As a partner at Hague Corporate Affairs, Menno Snel will advise clients and co-lead the team of 35 consultants working for a broad range of clients.
