Ed Kronenburg has joined Hague Corporate Affairs as Associate Partner. His focus will be on advising Dutch and French clients from Hague’s office in Paris – for years his work environment as Dutch ambassador to France.
In addition to Paris, Ed was also Dutch ambassador in Beijing. As a seasoned civil servant and experienced diplomat, Ed has in-depth knowledge and understanding of the day-to-day affairs at national, European and international level. After starting his career at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ed acted as Deputy Head of Cabinet to the European Commissioner Hans van de Broek for seven years. He later joined the Directorate-General for European Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2004 to 2007, he held the position of Chief of Staff of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) before being appointed Secretary-General of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a position he held from 2008 to 2012.
