Dick Berlijn

Dick Berlijn is Associate Partner at Hague Corporate Affairs.

After a distinguished military career at the Ministry of Defense, general rtd. Dick Berlijn worked for 8 years at Deloitte before joining Hague Corporate Affairs as an Associate Partner. With decades of experience working at the highest level of management of the Dutch armed forces and providing special advising services in the field of cybersecurity at Deloitte, Dick assists organisations with high-level advice on complex issues in the field of (digital) security, defence, crisis and risk management and leadership.

Dick Berlijn knows the security and defense world like no other. He has witnessed first-hand the digitalisation of, amongst others things, the security sector. This experience has led to unparalleled expertise and a broad network in the field of cybersecurity and cyber warfare. In addition to his work at Hague, Dick fulfils several supervisory positions. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Photonis, HAL24K, Subsolar Energy and MMOX.

Background

Until April 2008, Dick Berlijn was in charge of the Dutch armed forces as Commander of the Armed Forces, the highest position in the Dutch armed forces. On his farewell, Dick was appointed adjutant in extraordinary service to the Queen and Commander in the Order of Oranje-Nassau.

Since then, Dick has been working actively as an advisor and supervisor for various organisations related to international security, digitalisation, and the new economy.
