Ed Kronenburg Associate Partner Hague Corporate Affairs

Ed Kronenburg has been appointed Associate Partner at Hague Corporate Affairs (“Hague”). As part of his role, he will be advising Dutch and French clients from Hague’s office in Paris, a familiar ground for this former Dutch ambassador in France.

In addition to Paris, Ed was also Dutch ambassador in Beijing. As a seasoned civil servant and experienced diplomat, Ed has in-depth knowledge and understanding of the day-to-day affairs at national, European and international level. After starting his career at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ed acted as Deputy Head of Cabinet to the European Commissioner Hans van de Broek for seven years. He later joined the Directorate-General for European Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2004 to 2007, he held the position of Chief of Staff of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) before being appointed Secretary-General of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a position he held from 2008 to 2012.

‘‘I aim to advise the Dutch and French business communities on the use of the enormous potential that still exists to further expand the relationships’’.

Kronenburg: ‘‘Seeking a connection and common ground with your interlocutor, gaining trust based on mutual respect, bridging cultures with good and transparent communication: these are all indispensable elements for the work I have done for years, and that I will now continue to enjoy doing at Hague. By deploying my knowledge and experience, I aim to advise the Dutch and French business communities on the use of the enormous potential that still exists to further expand the relationships’’.

Peter ter Horst: ’’With our offices in The Hague, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris, we wish to advise various European arenas. Dutch and foreign companies increasingly know how and where to find us. With his in-depth and versatile areas of expertise in both France and the EU, Ed is the perfect advisor for our clients and will be of great added value to our office in Paris’’.
