Industrial policy is back in action Is the Netherlands still an attractive
Since 2020, Hague has been supporting the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) in the development and implementation of its EU public affairs strategy. The EADV is the leading organisation representing healthcare professionals in the field of dermatology and venereology across Europe, committed to advancing education and knowledge about skin health and diseases.
Hague helps the Academy to build a strong and influential voice in Brussels and to be recognised as an impactful player at EU level on priority issues for EU health policy and research, such as Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and Horizon Europe. Our services to the EADV include monitoring, intelligence gathering, positioning, stakeholder engagement and management, strategic advice, and advocacy.
“We have recently started to work with Hague on EU projects. Their deep knowledge of European institutions and processes and their incisive approach to strategy has placed clarity around priorities and actions for this programme. The team is well connected, flexible and a pleasure to work with.“
–Martine de Sutter, Chief Executive Officer, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV)
The EADV is fully committed to becoming a unifying force in advancing skin cancer prevention and care in the EU. To this goal, Hague supported the Academy in the organisation of the multi-stakeholder policy roundtable “Beating Cancer: How to step up EU efforts on melanoma and skin cancer prevention”. The event saw the participation of representatives from the European Commission and European Parliament, as well as patient, industry and healthcare professionals’ associations. Participants addressed skin cancer prevention within and beyond Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, sharing the need for a multi-stakeholder approach to tackle current hurdles.
