Scott is an Associate at FGS Global with a strong interest in Dutch and European political decision-making. He enjoys placing these processes in a historical context to gain deeper understanding. He is also motivated to contribute to societal challenges such as the energy transition, strengthening Dutch defence, and advancing sustainable transport.
Scott prefers working in direct contact with people. He further developed this strength during his time in Brussels, where he gained extensive experience in dialogue and relationship-building. With that same energy and commitment, he now supports our clients in the Netherlands
Scott worked in Brussels at the European Economic and Social Committee and at Publyon EU, where he focused on translating European policy into the Dutch context, covering themes such as transport, security, circularity, and energy.
Scott is Dutch-Scottish and was raised bilingually. He studied Public Administration (BSc) and International and European Governance (MSc) at Leiden University, and also pursued parts of his studies at Seoul National University and Sciences Po in Paris. During his internship at the Dutch Senate, he gained valuable insights into the inner workings of the Dutch political system.
