Margot Bolhuis

Margot is Junior Advisor at Hague Corporate Affairs. Margot has an interest in the positioning of organisations, focusing on public affairs and reputation management.

According to Margot, it is important for organisations to get a better understanding of what has been said about them on the digital media landscape. Having this knowledge facilitates the representation of organisations. To appeal to the target audience and to convey a certain narrative it is essential to have knowledge on what the target audience wants and expects.

Margot has a bachelor’s degree in government communications. Thereafter, she has gained practical experience in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in South America, where she worked on projects to reach Sustainable Development Goals. During this internship, she focused on several projects where she has learned the importance of bringing several stakeholder groups together to achieve set goals.

After her bachelor’s degree, she continued studying for a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy in Antwerp. To gain more work experience she has also done an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague. It was during this internship that she became familiarised with the international playing field.

Margot started her career with the international media intelligence company Meltwater. Here, she worked primarily with political parties, European institutions, government bodies and public affairs offices. She supported them with their monitoring issues and advised them on data analysis.
