Corporate Affairs Account Director (FR)

Hague Corporate Affairs is looking for a seasoned corporate affairs Account Director for its French branch. We are looking for a professional with minimum 10 years of experience in corporate affairs, public affairs or corporate communications, and a solid network in France.

About the position

Based in Paris and established as an independent, the corporate affairs account director will work in close collaboration with the director of Hague France Conseil to co-pilot the hub, develop a strong client portfolio and establish Hague France Conseil as a legal entity in France. Your strategic approach and professional network will be key assets for this mission.

Tasks

  • Acquisition: Support Hague’s business development in France – from pitch to projectmanagement-, and help convert new clients into long-term sustainable projects;
  • Strategic advice: Provide advice to our clients on public affairs and corporate communications, and manage the day-to-day work of diverse accounts;
  • Networking: Create long-term relationships and contribute to building Hague’s network in the French political arena, as well as with non-institutional stakeholders (e.g. industry, think tanks, NGOs);
  • Management: Support the director of Hague France Conseil in managing day-to-day activities (incl. events, online marketing), and supervise trainees and junior advisors;
  • Coordination: Closely work together with the 4 hubs of Hague and participate in internal processes.



Requirements

  • Self-employed, with a track record in acquisition;
  • At least 10 years of experience in consultancy, the private sector, trade association and/or public institutions advising on policy and communication issues with track records of achievements (references required);
  • Background in political science, communications or similar (MA level);
  • Proven skills in corporate affairs, advocacy, communications and/or reputation management;
  • Excellent understanding of policymaking processes and experience of working with institutional and non-institutional stakeholders in France; understanding of the EU institutions and processes is a plus;
  • Deep interest for international relations;
  • Experience in team and project management;
  • Excellent oral and written skills in French and English;
  • Proactive, self-starter and with strong interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment.
